My journey becoming a muse
In 2002, I was introduced to Reiki in a group therapy session, when the therapist asked for my permission to perform a technique on me to help release emotional blocks. What she did was administer a Reiki treatment. I remember feeling very relaxed and emotionally calm afterward. But I really didn’t think anymore about Reiki until early 2004, when I had a sudden inner desire to gain more understanding of the technique. After much research, I found the Reiki master who would become my teacher for most of my training. What followed after I took my first two classes was the beginning of my path in the healing arts, set in motion by my Reiki experience.
In 2005, I became a licensed massage therapist at the request of a group of friends to whom I had casually given neck and shoulder massages one evening at a ranch retreat. They ended up sponsoring me, paying for half of my tuition. Upon the completion of my massage education, I gave birth to my business, The Maiden’s Touch.
In 2006, I took my first Reiki master training. In early 2009, I repeated the first two classes followed by my second master training and quickly began preparing for my venture into teaching. Although I was new to teaching Reiki, I was not new to teaching, and I felt confident that I could help my students in their own personal development as Reiki practitioners/masters. And although my adventure as a Reiki instructor was short-lived, my experiences with my students were delightful and so very enlightening. I knew that it had laid the ground work for what was to evolve in my life.
In 2010, I received a message inside that I needed to pursue life coaching. Since I most often follow my inner guidance, I embarked on my journey to become a certified life coach, which I accomplished in 2010, offering both individual and group coaching programs. I soon found out that coaching seemed to be a part of my soul. Where Reiki seemed to forge the way, becoming a certified coach seemed to be the catalyst by which I could fulfill my deepest desires: helping others bring forth the joy and serenity in their lives. As I follow my own path of creating a radiant life for me and my loved ones, I also take pleasure in inspiring others to create their own magnificent lives. We all have gifts to share and in sharing these treasures with one another, we help elevate our world to a place of higher consciousness and wisdom, where love and peace are abundant.
